A new gateway to international employment is opening for Indians as Israel gears up to recruit around 10,000 Indian workers for construction work. Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, announced that this opportunity is part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between India and Israel, which will facilitate employment for Indian workers in Israel.
The recruitment process will be interview-based, with interviews set to begin on September 17 and continue until September 25. These interviews will take place at the Aundh Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Pune, where around 9,000 candidates are expected to be interviewed.

Candidates for this recruitment drive will be selected based on an interview process. Those who pass the interview will get the chance to work in Israel's construction sector. The interviews will be held from September 17 to September 25 at the Aundh ITI in Pune. After the selection, successful candidates will be sent to Israel for employment.

Skill Development Camps
To ensure candidates are well-prepared, the Maharashtra government, in collaboration with the central government, MITRA, and NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation), is organizing skill development camps across 23 industrial training institutes (ITIs) in Maharashtra. These camps aim to enhance the skills of participants, enabling them to compete internationally. Additionally, health camps will be conducted to ensure candidates' medical readiness.
Strengthening India-Israel Relations
This recruitment initiative is another step forward in the growing relationship between India and Israel. Israel has supported India in defense and national security, while India has contributed to Israel's economic growth. Both countries have made advancements in science and technology, and they are now collaborating in space technology as well. With India now being Israel's 10th largest trading partner, this recruitment drive is expected to further cement the ties between the two nations.
