Number of attempts for JEE Advanced 2025 increased to 3; check other eligibility
JEE Advanced 2025: Earlier, the number of attempts were limited to twice in two consecutive years.
New Delhi: Candidates appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced will now have a maximum of three consecutive attempts. Previously, the maximum number of attempts allowed was two. According to the new guidelines, only candidates born on or after October 1, 2000, will be eligible for the exam. Candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will receive a relaxation of five years in age eligibility, meaning candidates from these categories must be born on or after October 1, 1995. All other eligibility criteria will remain the same.
