Introduction  

General knowledge is important because it helps us understand the world around us. Here are some fun facts and basic information that every Class 1 student can learn and enjoy!

 1. Our Earth

- Planet: We live on planet Earth. Earth is round like a ball, and it is the third planet from the Sun.

- Oceans and Seas: Most of the Earth's surface is covered with water. There are five big oceans – the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, and Arctic Oceans.

 2. The Solar System

- Sun: The Sun is a star that gives us heat and light. It is the center of our solar system.

- Planets: There are 8 planets in the solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

- Moon: The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite. We can see it at night!

 3. Animals and Birds

- Animals: Some animals live on land, like lions, elephants, and dogs. Others live in water, like fish and dolphins. Some animals can fly, like birds.

- Birds: Birds have wings and most of them can fly. Examples of birds include parrots, sparrows, and peacocks.

 4. Our Body

- Eyes: We have two eyes to see the world around us.

- Ears: Our ears help us hear sounds.

- Mouth: We use our mouth to talk and eat.

- Hands and Feet: Our hands help us hold things, and our feet help us walk.

 5. Seasons

There are four main seasons in a year:

- Summer: It is hot during summer.

- Winter: It is cold in winter, and we wear warm clothes.

- Rainy Season: During the rainy season, it rains a lot, and we use umbrellas and raincoats.

- Spring: In spring, flowers bloom, and the weather is pleasant.

 6. Days of the Week

There are seven days in a week:

- Monday

- Wednesday

- Thursday

- Friday

- Saturday

- Sunday

 7. Colors

Some common colors are:

- Red: Like an apple.

- Blue: Like the sky.

- Green: Like the leaves on trees.

- Yellow: Like the Sun.

 8. Good Manners

- Say 'Thank You' when someone helps you.

- Say 'Please' when asking for something.

- Say 'Sorry' when you make a mistake.
