The High Court for the State of Telangana is the judicial body responsible for overseeing legal matters in the state of Telangana, India. It was established on the 1st of June, 2014, after the bifurcation of the state of Andhra Pradesh, which resulted in the creation of the new state of Telangana.


The High Court of Telangana has jurisdiction over the entire state and deals with various types of cases, including civil, criminal, and constitutional matters. It serves as the highest judicial authority within the state, except for matters falling under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of India.


The High Court consists of a Chief Justice and several other judges appointed by the President of India in consultation with the Governor of Telangana and the Chief Justice of India. It plays a crucial role in upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice for the people of Telangana.
