Indian Navy has released notification for 741 posts including Fireman, MTS, Cook under Indian Naval Civilian Entrance Test (INCET-01/2024). The online application process for this recruitment will start from 20th July 2024 and candidates can apply till 2nd August 2024. The selection process will include written test, physical test, medical examination and document verification. Age Limit for Indian Navy Recruitment

Candidates applying for the Indian Naval Civilian Entrance Test (INCET) recruitment by the Indian Navy have age limits specified according to the positions. For most posts, candidates must be between 18 to 25 years old. The maximum age limit is 27 years for Fireman and Fire Engine Driver, while it is 30 years for Chargeman Mechanic and Scientific Assistant. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ESM/sportsperson/central government employees as per government directives.

Application Fee for Indian Navy Recruitment

Candidates applying for the Indian Naval Civilian Entrance Test recruitment will need to pay an application fee. General, OBC, and EWS category candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 295/-. SC, ST, and female candidates are exempt from paying any fee. Educational Qualification for Indian Navy Recruitment

Under the Indian Navy Civilian Entrance Test recruitment, the eligibility criteria for various positions are summarized as follows:

1. For Tradesman Mate: Candidates should have passed Class 10 from a recognized board and possess a certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the relevant trade.

2. For Pest Control Worker: Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board, should have knowledge of Hindi or Sanskrit language.

3. For Cook: Candidates should have one year of experience in the relevant trade after Matriculation.

4. For MTS (Ministerial): Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent, and possess a certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI).

5. For Chargeman (Factory): Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or a Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Computer Engineering from a recognized university or board.

6. For Chargeman (Ammunition Workshop): Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university or board.

7. For Chargeman (Mechanic): Candidates should have a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production Engineering, and two years of experience in quality control or assurance, production, maintenance in an Industrial Establishment (IE) recognized organization.

8. For Draughtsman: Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent, and possess a two-year Draughtsman certificate or apprenticeship under Apprenticeship Training Scheme of an Industrial Training Institute (ITI), or a certificate in Auto CAD.

9. For Fireman: Candidates should have passed Class 12 from a recognized board, and have completed Basic Fire Fighting Course from a recognized institute, possess a heavy vehicle driving license, and meet prescribed physical standards.

10. For Scientific Assistant: Candidates should have a B.Sc. degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, or Oceanography, and two years of experience in relevant fields such as material analysis, machine noise and vibration analysis, chemical analysis, corrosion study, etc.

11. For Fire Engine Driver: Candidates should have passed Class 12 from a recognized board, possess a heavy motor vehicle driving license issued by a competent authority, and meet prescribed physical standards.

Selection Process for Indian Navy Recruitment

According to the Indian Navy, candidates for the Indian Naval Civilian Entrance Test recruitment will be selected based on the following process: first, they must participate in a written exam, followed by physical tests and document verification. Afterward, a final merit list will be released based on medical examinations.

Physical Standards

Candidates should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties. Additionally, they must pass the following tests:

  • Height without shoes - 165 centimeters, with a relaxation of 2.5 centimeters for candidates belonging to scheduled tribes.
  • Chest (normal) - 81.5 centimeters.
  • Chest (expanded) - 85 centimeters.
  • Weight - Minimum 50 kilograms.
  • Eyesight - 6/6 (normal vision).

Physical Fitness Tests:

  • Fireman lift of 63.5 kilograms to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
  • Crossing a 2.7-meter wide ditch by landing on both feet (long jump).
  • Climbing a 3-meter high rope using hands and feet.

Ineligibility:

  • Wearing glasses or having squint eyes or color blindness.
  • Flat feet or knee problems.
  • Any deformity or extra limb.

  7. After completing the form, take a print out of it and keep it safe with you.
