Information for RRB Technician Online Form 2024

RRB Technician Recruitment 2024: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) had announced the start of RRB Technician Recruitment 2024 process on 8 March 2024 through notification number CEN 02/2024. On 27 September, the application form reopening notice for RRB Technician 2024 recruitment was released on the official website. Interested candidates can apply online for this recruitment in various regions like RRB Prayagraj, RRB Gorakhpur, RRB Ajmer, RRB Kolkata, RRB Mumbai, RRB Secunderabad, RRB Chennai, and others between 2 October 2024 to 16 October 2024. Candidates who have already applied can also make necessary changes during this time period.

Age Limit for RRB Technician Online Form 2024

Railway Recruitment Board (Ministry of Railways) has determined the age of the candidates applying for the recruitment of Technician posts as per the respective vacancies. The minimum age for the candidate to apply for Technician Grade I Signal post should be 18 years, while the maximum age should be up to 36 years. For Technician Grade III post, the age of the candidate should be minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years. As per the rules prescribed by the government, age relaxation will be given to the candidate.

As of 01 July 2024, the age limit for applicants is as follows:

Technician Grade I Signal: 18 to 36 years
Technician Grade III: 18 to 36 years

Application Fee for RRB Technician Online Form 2024

Candidates applying for the recruitment of Technician posts in Railway Recruitment Board (Ministry of Railways) will have to pay the application fee. Candidates falling in General/OBC/EWS category have to pay Rs 500/-, while candidates falling in SC/ST/PH category have to pay Rs 250/- and all category women also have to pay Rs 250/- will be. After appearing in the Phase I examination, there will be a refund of fee, in which general category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.400/- and OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PH category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.250/- have to give. All candidates have to pay their examination fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking only.

Salary for RRB Technician Online Form 2024

Railway Recruitment Board (Ministry of Railways) will provide monthly salary to the candidates who have applied for the recruitment of Technician posts. In this monthly salary, candidates for Technician Grade I Signal will be provided monthly salary of Rs. 29200/- as per Pay Metric Level – 5, and for Technician Grade III, candidates will be provided monthly salary of Rs. 19900/- as per Pay Metric Level – 2. Salary up to will be provided.

Eligibility Criteria for RRB Technician Online Form 2024

For Technician Grade I Signal:Candidates must possess either:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation, or
A combination of these subjects in their B.Sc., or
An Engineering degree (B.E./B.Eh) or a 3-year diploma in the relevant fields.

For Technician Grade III:

For S&T Trade: Candidates should have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics or have a Class 10 certificate along with an ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT.
For Other Trades: Candidates need to have completed Class 10 and possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.

Selection Process for RRB Technician Online Form 2024

Candidates will be selected based on the results of an online Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Exam Pattern for RRB Technician Online Form 2024

The CBT consists of 100 questions, and the exam duration is 90 minutes, with negative marking of 1/3 for incorrect answers.
