West Central Railway (WCR) Jabalpur has released the application fee of Rs 141/- from General/OBC/EWS category candidates applying for various Apprentice posts, while Rs 41/- will be charged from SC/ST/PH category candidates and female candidates of all categories. Candidates have to pay their examination fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI and other payment modes only.

Age Limit (as of 5th August 2024)

West Central Railway (WCR) Jabalpur has fixed the minimum age of candidates applying for various apprentice posts as 15 years and maximum age as 24 years. The age of the candidates will be calculated as on 5th August 2024, and age relaxation will also be given to the candidates as per the rules of the state government.

Educational Qualification

  • General Trades: 10th grade passed (under the 10+2 examination system) with 50% marks from a recognized board.
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology and Radiology): 12th grade passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Eligibility for PwBD Candidates

  • PwBD candidates with a minimum of 40% disability are eligible.
  • Maximum disabilities specified are locomotor disability (LD), visual impairment (VI), hearing impairment (HI), and multiple disabilities (MD) on a trade-wise basis.

Selection Process

1. Merit List

  • Based on the average marks obtained in the 10th class examination or its equivalent plus ITI/Trade marks.
  • Tie-breaking criteria: Older candidate preferred, then earlier matriculation pass date.

2. Document Verification

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

  1. Documents required for online application

    Before filling out the online application, candidates should have a clear scanned copy of the following documents ready:

    1. Photo and Signature (JPG format, file size 50kb-200kb):
    • A recent passport-sized photo in which the candidate's face is clearly visible, with pixel size 100 x 120.
    • A sample of the signature, with pixel size 160 x 70.

  5. Next, candidates click on the “New Registration” button and complete the registration process.

  6. Then, the candidate has to login again and fill the application form correctly.

  7. The candidate has to upload his/her photo and thumb impression as per the prescribed size.

  8. Next, the candidate has to upload the required documents and pay the application fee.

  9. Finally, submit the RRC WCR Form 2024 and take a print out for your records.
