Important Information for SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment

State Bank of India (SBI) has released the recruitment notification for Specialist Officer (SO) posts on its official website. A total of 1040 vacancies have been released under SBI SO Recruitment 2024. The online application process for this recruitment has started from 19th July 2024 and candidates can apply till 08th August 2024. The selection will be done on the basis of merit list, and no application fee will be charged from the candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories. Age Limit for SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 

State Bank of India (SBI) has kept the age limit of candidates applying for SBI Specialist Officer (SO) posts different according to the post, which is shown in the table below. Generally, the minimum age of the candidates should be 23 years and maximum age should be 50 years. Along with this, age relaxation will also be provided as per government rules.

Application Fee for SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment

State Bank of India (SBI) has fixed the application fee of Rs 750/- for SBI Specialist Officer (SO) posts for candidates of General, OBC, and EWS categories. At the same time, candidates of SC, ST, and PH categories will not be charged any fee for this recruitment. Candidates have to deposit their examination fee only through debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, or other fee payment methods by 8 August 2024.

State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a total of 1040 vacancies for SBI Specialist Officer (SO) posts. These vacancies will be recruited for various posts, and different number of vacancies have been set for each post, which is shown in the table below.

Educational Qualification for SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 

The State Bank of India (SBI) has specified the educational qualifications required for various Specialist Officer (SO) positions as follows:

• Central Research Team (Product Lead) – An MBA/PGDM/PGDBM or CA/CFA from a government-recognized university or institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Central Research Team (Support) – A graduate or post-graduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, or Statistics from a government-recognized university or institution with at least 3 years of experience.
• Project Development Manager (Technology) – An MBA/MMS/PGDM/ME/M.Tech./BE/B.Tech./PGDBM from a government-recognized university or institution with 4 years of experience.
• Project Development Manager (Business) – An MBA/PGDM/PGDBM from a government-recognized university or institution with at least 5 years of experience.
• Relationship Manager – A graduate from a government-recognized university or institution with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• VP Wealth – A graduate from a government-recognized university or institution with at least 3 years of experience, or an MBA (Banking/Finance/Marketing) with 60% marks from a recognized university or institution is preferred.
• Relationship Manager Team Lead – A graduate from a government-recognized university or institution with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Regional Head – A graduate from a government-recognized university or institution with 12 years of experience.
• Investment Specialist – An MBA/PGDM/PGDBM from a recognized college/university or CA/CFA with 6 years of experience. NISM 21A certification is preferred, or CA/CFP/NISM Investment Advisor/Research Analyst Certificate is also preferred.
• Investment Officer – An MBA/PGDM/PGDBM from a recognized college/university or CA/CFA with at least 4 years of experience. NISM 21A certification or CA/CFP/NISM Investment Advisor/Research Analyst Certificate is preferred.

Salary for SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 

State Bank of India (SBI) has recruited for SBI Specialist Officer (SO) posts in which candidates will be offered salary and contract period as per their posts.

Selection Process for SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 

 The selection process will be based on shortlisting and interview-cum-CTC negotiations.

• Shortlisting: Simply meeting the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. The Bank’s shortlisting committee will set the criteria for shortlisting, and only the number of candidates decided by the Bank will be shortlisted for the interview. The Bank's decision on which candidates to call for the interview will be final. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained. Only the shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview.
• Interview-cum-CTC Negotiation: The interview will carry 100 marks. The qualifying marks for the interview will be determined by the Bank, and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. CTC negotiations will be conducted individually with the candidates during the interview.
• Merit List: The merit list for selection will be prepared in descending order based solely on the interview scores. If more than one candidate scores the cutoff marks (common marks at the cutoff point), those candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order on the merit list.
