Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot launched the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana in 2021. The objective of this scheme is to provide timely assistance to the persons injured in road accidents, so that their lives can be saved. It is often seen that the injured persons in road accidents die due to lack of timely help. To solve this problem, this scheme was started, so that the injured persons can get medical assistance by reaching the hospital on time. According to a WHO report, if the injured persons in road accidents get timely treatment, then 50% of the deaths can be prevented.
Under this scheme, any person who takes the injured person to the hospital is given a reward amount and a citation by the state government as a mark of respect. Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana is not only helpful in saving the injured persons in road accidents, but also tries to bring positive change in the society. Many important benefits are obtained from the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana, which not only helps the accident victims, but also promotes the spirit of humanity and cooperation in the society. The major benefits of this scheme are as follows:-
1. Quick Medical Assistance - Under the scheme, the injured person in the accident is provided immediate hospitalization, which can save his life.
2. Incentive Amount - The person who takes the accident victim to the hospital is given a reward amount of ₹ 5000 by the state government, which appreciates his noble deed.
3. Commendation Letter - Along with the reward amount, a commendation letter is also provided to the person helping, which increases his prestige in the society.
4. Open to all citizens - The specialty of this scheme is that if a citizen of any state of the country takes a person injured in a road accident to the hospital in Rajasthan, then he is entitled to receive reward money and commendation letter under this scheme.

Eligibility for Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Life Saving Scheme
The eligibility criteria for the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Life Support Scheme are as follows:-
- Individuals from every age group are eligible under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Life Support Scheme.
- Any Indian citizen who transports a person injured in a road accident to a government hospital in any district of Rajasthan is eligible for this scheme.
However, not all are considered eligible for the benefits of this scheme:
- Employees of 108 ambulances will not qualify for the benefits of this scheme.
- Employees of 1033 ambulances will not qualify for the benefits of this scheme.
- Employees of private ambulances will not qualify for the benefits of this scheme.
- Police personnel deployed on PCR vans will not qualify for the benefits of this scheme.
- Police personnel on duty will not qualify for the benefits of this scheme.
- Family members or relatives of the injured person in a road accident will not qualify for the benefits of this scheme.
- Individuals who transport an injured person in a road accident to any private hospital in the state will not qualify for this scheme.
- Individuals who suffer minor injuries in a road accident and are transported to a hospital will not qualify for the benefits of this scheme.
Process to avail the benefit of Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana
Here is the paraphrased version of the procedure to avail the benefits under the Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana:-
1. The benefit of Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana will be provided to the concerned person who takes the injured person in a road accident to the hospital only when that person provides his identity and personal information with his consent.
2. To avail the benefits of Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Raksha Yojana, the following information has to be entered by the Casualty Medical Officer in the emergency room of the hospital - name, age, gender. If there is more than one person, then their name and address, bank details like IFSC code.
3. All the required information will be sent by the hospital administration in Appendix - 2 (Recommendation Letter) by email within 3 days.
4. Within 2 days of receiving the recommendation letter, the Director of Public Health will transfer the incentive amount up to Rs. 5000/- through DBT to the bank account of the good person.
5. The citation of Mukhyamantri Jeevanjeevi Raksha Yojana will be sent through speed post to the given address of the beneficiary.
6. The citation of the e-version of the person who reaches the hospital of a seriously injured person in a road accident will be sent through email or WhatsApp.
Important points of Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Life Saving Scheme
1. Under the Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana, the person who takes a seriously injured person to the hospital in a road accident will be treated properly.
2. After leaving the injured person in the road accident in the hospital, that person can go to his home as per his wish, he will not have to face any hindrance under this scheme.
3. If a person is seriously injured in a road accident and needs hospitalization immediately or for referral, then the person helping will be given an incentive amount of up to Rs 5000/- under this scheme and he will also be given a citation.
4. The seriousness of the person in the road accident will be decided by the Casualty Medical Officer, if the condition of the person is normal then only a citation will be given.
5. Any person who reaches the hospital of a seriously injured person in a road accident will get a reward amount as per this scheme and all of them will also be provided with separate citations, and under this, those who help will not be questioned by the police in any way.
6. Under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana, those who help in road accidents will be given incentives from the local road safety fund, and any complaint related to this scheme will be thoroughly investigated by the Chief Medical Officer and Health Officer within 15 days.
