Indian Air Force has announced recruitment under Sports Quota under Agniveer Vayu (Sports) Recruitment 01/2025. The notification for this recruitment was released on 17 August 2024. The application process will start from 20 August 2024 and will run till 29 August 2024. Recruitment tests will be conducted between 18 to 20 September 2024. Pay, Allowances, and Benefits

Agniveervayu (Sports) enlisted under this scheme will receive a monthly Agniveer package of ₹30,000, with a fixed annual increment. Additionally, they will receive Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in the Indian Air Force), Dress and Travel allowances. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation, and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) will also be provided as per existing regulations.

Terminal Benefits - Seva Nidhi Package

Upon completing their engagement period, Agniveervayu (Sports) will receive a one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package. This package includes their monthly contributions along with a matching contribution by the Government. The details are as follows:

Total Contribution in Agniveers Corpus Fund after Four Years: ₹5.02 lakh from the individual and ₹5.02 lakh from the Government.

Exit after 4 Years: Approximately ₹10.04 Lakhs as the Seva Nidhi Package (excluding interest).

Selection Process

The selection process will include the following stages:

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Candidates will undergo a physical fitness test, which includes completing a 1.6 km run within a specified time, along with chin-ups, push-ups, and squats.
• Sports Skill Test: The performance of candidates in their respective sports discipline will be evaluated.
• Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the health and fitness standards required for service in the IAF.
• Final Merit List: Based on the performance of the candidates in the above stages, a merit list will be prepared, and the final selection will be made accordingly.
