Coal India Limited (CIL) Management Trainee Recruitment 2026
Coal India Limited (CIL) has released a recruitment notification for the post of Management Trainee (E-1 Grade) to fill up 660 vacancies. This is a great opportunity for candidates who have completed their Graduation or Post Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: Maximum 30 years for UR/EWS category as on 30.04.2026. Age relaxation is applicable for OBC (NCL), SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India guidelines.
- Educational Qualification: Discipline-wise minimum qualification with at least 60% marks (except for specified posts):
- Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering.
- System: 1st Class BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science/IT or 1st Class Degree with MCA.
- Geology: M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology/Applied Geology/Geophysics/Applied Geophysics.
- Rajbhasha (Hindi): MA in Hindi with 60% marks + Graduation with Hindi & English as main subjects (50% marks).
- Company Secretary: Graduate + Associate/Fellow membership of ICSI (preference to listed company experience).
Salary:
₹60,000 – 1,80,000 (E-1 Grade). Basic pay of ₹60,000 per month during the training period, plus DA, HRA, PRP, and other benefits.
Selection Process:
The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT). There will be no interview.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): 3 hours duration, consisting of Paper-I (General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English) and Paper-II (Discipline-related professional knowledge). Each question carries 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. The exam will be available in English and Hindi.
Application Fee:
- UR/OBC/EWS: ₹1,180 (₹1000 + GST ₹180)
- SC/ST/PwBD/CIL Employees: Exempted (Nil)
- Payment Mode: Online only.
