General Duty (GD) – For General Duty the candidate must have a graduation degree with 60% marks from a recognized university.

Technical (Mechanical) - For Mechanical the candidate must have Engineering Degree from a recognized University with 60% aggregate marks in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial & Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Must have a recognized engineering degree in Aerospace.

Technical (Electrical/Electronics) – For Electrical/Electronics candidate must have Engineering Degree from recognized University with 60% aggregate marks in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control or Electronics & Communication or Power Must have a recognized engineering degree in engineering or power electronics.

Assistant Commandant Recruitment Selection Process & Salary :-

Indian Coast Guard (ICG) will have to appear in the Computer Based Online Screening Test for all the candidates who have applied for various Assistant Commandant posts. The candidate will have to obtain 100 MCQs in the test, where four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one negative mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Selected candidates will be given a monthly salary ranging between Rs 56,100 to Rs 2,25,000 depending on the level.
