Age Limit for India Post GDS Recruitment 

According to the Indian Postal Department, the minimum age of the candidates for India Post GDS Recruitment should be 18 years and maximum age should be 40 years. The age of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the last date of application. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government rules.

Educational Qualification for IndiaPost GDS 

Candidates applying for India Post GDS recruitment must meet the educational qualifications specified by the Indian Postal Department.

1. Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates applying for GDS post must have passed 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English. This examination must be passed from a recognized board of the Government of India, State Governments or Union Territories.
  • Candidate must have studied the local language from a recognized board up to 10th standard. The information on the local language is given in Schedule-III according to the post.
  • Special provision for Arunachal Pradesh: Candidates applying for GDS in Arunachal Pradesh must have knowledge of English or Hindi and any one of the 23 tribal languages/accents of the state. As these tribal languages ​​are not taught in schools till 10th standard, the candidate must submit a certificate issued by an authorized officer of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Candidates selected for India Post GDS Recruitment by Indian Postal Department will be provided salary as per their post:
