Indian Bank has started the process of applying for the posts of Apprentice under the Apprentice Act, 1961. Through this recruitment, 1,500 apprentice posts will be recruited. The application process has started from 10 July 2024 and interested candidates can apply online till 31 July 2024. Selected candidates will have to undergo written examination, document verification and medical examination in this process. Age Limit for Indian bank apprentice

Candidates applying for Indian Bank Apprentice posts should have a minimum age of 20 years and a maximum age of 28 years. Age will be calculated as on 1st July 2024. However, as per the rules of the Government of India, age relaxation will be provided for candidates belonging to categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWD.

Application Fee for Indian Bank Recruitment

Candidates applying for Indian Bank Apprentice posts will have to pay an application fee. Candidates belonging to General, OBC and EWS categories will have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 500/-. At the same time, candidates belonging to SC, ST and disabled categories will not have to pay any kind of application fee. Educational Qualification for Indian bank apprentice Job

For the Indian Bank Apprentice positions, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India. Additionally, candidates should have completed their bachelor's degree after 31.03.2020 and must possess a valid graduation certificate.

Selection Process for Indian Bank Recruitment 2024

1. Online Written Test (Objective Type)

i. The online written examination will consist of four sections:

  • The test will be conducted in major regional languages (as decided by the Bank), except for General English which will be in English.
  • There will be negative marking for incorrect answers in the objective tests, with 1/4th of the mark assigned to a question being deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The bank will decide whether to conduct an interview or not.
  • A merit list will be prepared based on the candidates’ aggregate marks in descending order within their respective States and Categories. If more than one candidate achieves the same cut-off marks, their ranking in the merit list will be determined based on age, with older candidates ranked higher.
  • A waitlist may also be created on a state-wise and category-wise basis to fill any shortfall in the engagement of candidates.

2. Local Language Proficiency

i. Candidates applying for training positions in a specific state must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in at least one of the local languages specified for that state.

ii. A test for knowledge of the specified local language will be part of the selection process and will be conducted after the online written examination. Candidates who do not qualify this test will not be considered for the apprenticeship. However, candidates who provide an 8th, 10th, or 12th grade mark sheet/certificate showing that they have studied the specified local language will be exempt from this language test. Candidates will need to take the local language test at a center designated by the Bank in the state for which they have applied.
