Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme 2027: Apply for 60 Officer Posts

The Indian Navy has released the notification for the 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme for the course commencing January 2027. This is a golden opportunity for eligible unmarried men and women to join as Permanent Commissioned Officers in the Technical Branches.

A total of 60 vacancies are available for this prestigious entry, with selected candidates undergoing a four-year B.Tech course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.

The B.Tech degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) upon successful completion. The entire cost of training, including books and messing, will be borne by the Indian Navy.

Vacancy Details

A total of 60 vacancies are available for Permanent Commission in Technical Branches. Candidates must specify their preference for Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering during application. Maximum 08 vacancies are reserved for women (04 each for Mechanical Engg and Electronics & Communication Engg).

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: As per Government of India norms.
• Marital Status: Unmarried men and women only. Marriage during training will lead to discharge and refund of training costs.
• Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary Examination) or equivalent with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), and at least 50% marks in English (in Class X or XII).
• JEE (Main) 2026 Requirement: Must have appeared for JEE (Main) 2026 exam (for B.E./B.Tech). Shortlisting for SSB will be based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) 2026.
• Medical Standards: Candidates must meet the prescribed medical standards for 10+2 (B.Tech) entry. No relaxation in medical standards.

Age Limit

Candidates must have been born between 02 July 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).

Application Fee

Selection Process

The selection process involves multiple stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on JEE (Main) 2026 All India Common Rank List (CRL).
2. SSB Interview: Scheduled from September 2026 onwards at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam.
3. Medical Examination: As per prescribed standards.
4. Merit List & Appointment: Final merit list based on SSB marks and medical fitness, subject to Police & Character Verification and vacancy availability.

Training Details

Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for a four-year B.Tech Course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala. The B.Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The entire cost of training will be borne by the Indian Navy.
