NHAI Deputy Manager (Technical) Recruitment 2026: 60 Posts via GATE

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for the post of Deputy Manager (Technical). A total of 60 vacancies have been announced for the post of Deputy Manager (Technical). The distribution across various categories is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
• Mandatory Recruitment Criteria: Valid GATE 2026 Score in Civil Engineering discipline.
• Awaiting Result: Candidates whose degree result is not declared by 15-06-2026 may apply, but must submit the provisional/final degree certificate to NHAI by 31-08-2026.
• Service Liability: All India.

Age Limit (as on 15-06-2026)

• General (UR) / EWS: Not exceeding 30 years.
• SC / ST: 5 years relaxation (max 35 years).
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (max 33 years).
• PwBD - General (UR): 10 years relaxation (max 40 years).
• PwBD - OBC: 13 years relaxation (max 43 years).
• PwBD - SC / ST: 15 years relaxation (max 45 years).
• Ex-Servicemen: 5 years relaxation.

Application Fee

No application fee is mentioned in the official notification. Candidates are advised to check the official NHAI website for any fee-related updates.

Selection Process

Selection will be made purely on the basis of GATE 2026 score in Civil Engineering discipline. There will be no written examination conducted by NHAI. In case of a large number of applications, NHAI may shortlist candidates for interaction/interview, if required.

Tie-Breaking Rules

• 1st Tie-Break: Date of birth (older candidate placed higher).
• 2nd Tie-Break: Alphabetical order (A to Z) of the first letter of the initial name.

Service Bond Conditions

• Bond Amount: Rs. 5.00 Lakhs.
• Minimum Service Period: 3 years from the date of joining NHAI.
• Consequence: Candidate shall be liable to pay Rs. 5.00 Lakhs if resigning/terminated within 3 years.
