Application Fee

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has fixed the application fee for candidates applying for Nurse, Stipendiary Trainee and other posts for 2024. Stipendiary Trainee (ST/SA) – Diploma holder in Engineering/Science and Nurse – A will have to pay a fee of Rs. 150/-. At the same time, there will be a fee of Rs. 100/- for X-Ray Technician (Technician-C) and Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN). No fee will be charged from SC/ST/PH category candidates and female candidates of all categories. Candidates have to deposit their examination fee by 5th August 2024 only through debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI and other payment modes.

Age Limit (as of 5 August 2024)

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has prescribed the age limit for Nurse, Stipendiary Trainee and Other Posts for 2024 as per the posts, which is clarified in the table below. Generally, the minimum age of the candidates should be 18 years and the maximum age should be up to 30 years. Apart from this, age relaxation will also be provided as per government rules.

  • Nurse: 18-30 years
  • Stipendiary Trainees/Scientific Assistant: 18-25 years (for Diploma Holders in Engineering / Science Graduates)
  • Stipendiary Trainees ST / TN Category II: 18-24 years
  • X-Ray Technician: 18-25 years

Educational Qualification 

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has prescribed the required qualification for Nurse, Stipendiary Trainee & Other Posts for 2024 differently according to different posts.

Nurse A

  • XII Standard and Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (3 years course) OR
  • B.Sc. (Nursing); OR
  • Nursing Certificate with 3 years’ experience in a hospital; OR
  • Nursing Assistant Class III & above from the Armed forces.
  • Valid registration as a Nurse from the respective State Nursing Council.
  • Candidates possessing a Degree in Nursing qualification may be considered for awarding two additional increments.

Stipendiary Trainees ST/TN Operator Category II (Diploma)

  • Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The diploma in Engineering should be of 03 years’ duration after SSC / HSC. OR
  • Two years Diploma through lateral entry to 2nd year after HSC approved by AICTE with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
  • Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or HSC level examination.

Stipendiary Trainees / Scientific Assistant ST / SA Cat-1 (Graduates)

  • B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks. B.Sc. shall be with Physics as the principal subject and Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary subjects OR with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage.
  • Mathematics at H.S.C. (10+2) level is essential.
  • English as one of the subjects either at SSC or HSC level examinations is compulsory.
  • Candidates having Mathematics as the principal subject at B.Sc. are not eligible.

Stipendiary Trainees (ST/TN) Category II

  • SSC (10th) with minimum 50% marks in Science subject(s) and Mathematics individually and 2 years ITI certificate in relevant trade (Fitter / Electrician / Instrumentation).
  • For trades where the duration of the ITI course is less than 2 years, the candidates shall have at least one year of relevant working experience after completion of the course.
  • Shall have English as one of the subjects at least at the SSC level examination.
  • One-year apprenticeship training after completion of a one-year ITI course shall be considered as one-year experience. The period of internship will not be counted as experience.

X-Ray Technician C

  • HSC (10+2) with minimum 60% marks in Science + 1-year Medical Radiography / X-Ray Technique Trade Certificate with a minimum of 02 years post-qualification work experience in Medical Radiography / X-Ray.
