Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a prestigious Maharatna Company, has announced a significant recruitment drive for Young Professionals across its Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), IISCO Steel Plant (ISP), and Alloy Steels Plant (ASP). Published on 22-05-2026 vide Advertisement No. ISP/YP/2026/01, this recruitment aims to fill 48 vacancies for eligible candidates in Projects, Works, and Materials Management Divisions.

Vacancy Details (Total: 48 Posts)

The 48 Young Professional positions are distributed across three plants and various divisions:

• Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP): 16 Posts
• IISCO Steel Plant (ISP), Burnpur: 30 Posts
• Alloy Steels Plant (ASP), Durgapur: 02 Posts

Positions are available at YP-1, YP-2, and YP-3 grade levels, with specific requirements for each engagement code.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Candidates must have completed 23 years of age as on 06-06-2026. Upper age limits are:
  • YP-1: 35 years
  • YP-2: 38 years
  • YP-3: 42 years
• Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent (Regular/Full time from a Government-recognized University/Institution with minimum 65% marks) in relevant engineering disciplines.
• Experience: Relevant post-qualification experience in Executive Cadre in a Steel Plant/Process Industry/Manufacturing Industry is required:
  • YP-1: Minimum 3 years
  • YP-2: Minimum 6 years
  • YP-3: Minimum 10 years
• All eligibility conditions (qualification and experience) must be fulfilled as on the closing date of application (06-06-2026).

Remuneration

Selected Young Professionals will receive an attractive monthly retainership:

• YP-1: Rs. 70,000/- per month
• YP-2: Rs. 1,00,000/- per month
• YP-3: Rs. 1,40,000/- per month

An annual increment of 4%/7%/10% will be provided based on performance.

Selection Process

The selection process for SAIL Young Professional Recruitment 2026 includes:

1. Application Scrutiny: Initial screening of online applications.
2. Computer Based Test (CBT) / Aptitude / Psychometric Test: Will be conducted if the number of applications exceeds 5 times the requirement.
3. Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the CBT (if conducted) will appear for a Personal Interview. The weightage for CBT to Interview will be 80:20.
4. Pre-Employment Medical Examination: To be notified after final selection.
