South East Central Railway (SECR), Bilaspur Division, has officially announced the Act Apprentice (Trade Apprentice) recruitment for various trades with 1191 vacancies. This recruitment is for the year 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1962. Eligible candidates, aged between 15 and 24 years, who have passed Matriculation (10th) and ITI in the relevant trade, can apply online from May 12, 2026, to June 11, 2026.

Vacancy Details

A total of 1191 vacancies have been announced trade-wise across UR, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST categories for Bilaspur Division. This includes 115 Ex-Servicemen (Ex-SM) and 45 Persons with Disabilities (PWD) horizontal reservations.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application, i.e., 11-06-2026.

• Educational / Technical Qualification: Academic: Must have passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system or its equivalent.
• Technical: Must have passed ITI course in relevant trades from a recognized institution.

Age Limit (as on 11-06-2026): Minimum Age: 15 years

Maximum Age: 24 years

Age Relaxation: For SC/ST candidates: 05 years

For OBC candidates: 03 years

For Ex-Servicemen and PWD: 10 years

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a merit list prepared by taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both. There will be no written examination; selection is purely on a merit basis.

Apprenticeship Period & Stipend

• Apprenticeship Duration: 1 year for each trade.
• Stipend: As per rules of the State Government of Chhattisgarh (paid during the training period).
• Post-Training Obligation: It is not obligatory for the employer to offer employment after training completion, nor for the apprentice to accept any employment, if offered. Training will be terminated after completion of apprenticeship.

How to Apply for SECR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Applications must be submitted online only through the website https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in from 12-05-2026 to 11-06-2026 (till 23:59 hrs). No physical copy of the application is required to be sent to the office.

Candidates must upload a soft/scanned copy of their present passport size color photograph and scanned signature along with necessary documents pertaining to educational/technical qualification on the website.

Important Instructions:

• Candidates must fill only their 10th and ITI marks on the portal in the qualification section — do not fill any other higher qualification, otherwise the application will be automatically rejected.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC community must upload a recent caste certificate issued by the competent authority on the portal.
• PWD candidates must produce a disability certificate issued by a competent authority with not less than 40% of disability (Medical Board duly constituted by Central or State Government).
