South East Central Railway Apprentice 2026 Apply Online 1644 Vacancies

South East Central Railway (SECR) has released a recruitment notification for 1644 Trade Apprentice posts. This is a golden opportunity for candidates who have passed 10th class and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade. There will be no written examination for these posts; selection will be done through a merit list based on Matric and ITI marks.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply online from May 05, 2026, to June 04, 2026. Before applying, candidates are advised to carefully review all details including eligibility criteria, vacancy breakdown, selection process, and application procedure.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 05.05.2026)

• Minimum Age: 15 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • 05 years for SC/ST candidates
  • 03 years for OBC candidates
  • 10 years for Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed Matriculation / 10th class examination under 10+2 system with minimum 50% marks.
• Must have passed ITI Course in relevant trade from a Recognized Institution.
• Candidates must have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of notification. Appearing candidates or those whose results are awaited are not eligible.

Application Fee

• No Application Fee for all categories of candidates.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following steps:

• Merit List Preparation: Average of percentage marks obtained in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI examination (equal weightage to both) as per Railway Establishment Rule 201/2017.
• Medical Examination: Candidates selected in the merit list will undergo a medical examination.

Stipend

Stipend will be paid as per Apprenticeship Rules.

1. Visit the official website https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and register / login using valid credentials.
2. Fill the online application form carefully with personal, educational, category, and trade details.
3. Upload scanned copies of Photograph, Signature, 10th marksheet, ITI certificate, and other required documents.
4. Submit the form on or before the closing date and take a printout of the application form for future reference.
