Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination 2024. A total of 3712 vacancies have been announced for the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretarial Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) in central departments. The application process has started from 8th April 2024 and candidates can apply till 7th May 2024. Age Limit CHSL Recruitment :- 


Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recognized the age of candidates applying for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and other posts in central departments of Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) examination in 2024 to be between 18 to 27 years. . As per government rules, age relaxation will be given to SC, ST, and OBC category candidates. The age of the candidates will be calculated as on 01-08-2024, and the candidates should not be born earlier than 02-08-1997.


 Application Fee CHSL Recruitment :- 


SSC has announced the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination 2024. Candidates applying for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and other positions in central departments will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 100/-. However, women candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from paying the fee. The online fee can be paid by candidates until May 8, 2024. Candidates can pay their application fee online using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards.


Educational Qualification CHSL Recruitment :- 


Candidates applying for LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade 'A' positions in central departments through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) must have passed the 12th standard examination in the Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized board or its equivalent.


Salary SSC CHSL Recruitment :- 


The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to offer salaries according to the post for candidates applying for positions in central departments through the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Exam 2024. For the Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) positions, candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 as per Pay Level-2. Data Entry Operators (DEO) will be compensated between ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 as per Pay Level-4, and up to ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 as per Pay Level-5. Additionally, candidates selected for the Data Entry Operator, Grade 'A' position will be paid within the Pay Level-4 scale, ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100.


How to apply

  1. SSC CHSL Step - 1

    First the candidate should visit the official website of SSC https://ssc.gov.in/.

    If candidates are already registered, please login.

    If they are registering for the first time, click on “New Registration”.

    Take the following steps for new registration -

    1. Enter personal details – Aadhar card number, driving license, PAN card, school/college ID card, voter ID card. After this fill the candidate's name, gender, date of birth, father's name, mother's name etc. After this, the candidate has to provide his/her 10th class details, such as roll number and passing year. After that, enter your mobile number and email ID and click on “Save & Next”.

    2. Create Password – Enter the registration number and password, along with the captcha code. Then sign in. After signing in, the candidate will be instructed to generate a new password.

    3. Give additional details – The candidate has to select his/her category, and enter his/her permanent address and pin code.

    4. Declare – Click on “I agree to the above”, and click on “Preview OTR”. With this you can review your OTR. Then, the candidate has to declare his/her data. After this, your registration will be completed successfully.

    After logging in, the candidate will need to fill out a form where they will enter their personal information and education details. Following that, the candidate will need to provide additional information. Then, the candidate will have to upload their photo and signature. The signature should be between 10kb to 20kb in size and in JPEG/JPG format, while the photo should be 4.0 cm (Width) x 2.0 cm (Height) in size. After that, click on the submit form button and download the submitted form to keep a printed copy for your records.
