The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 722 Excise Constable posts. Candidates who have qualified the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and are interested in the vacancy details can apply online.

Important Dates

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2026):

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

Educational Qualification:

• Intermediate or equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh.
• Must have appeared in and qualified Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) with a valid Score Card.

Pay Scale:

• Level-2 (₹19,900 - ₹63,200)

Vacancy Details:

Selection Process:

• Selection will be based on the Main Written Examination, followed by Physical Standards Test and Physical Efficiency Test (qualifying in nature).
• Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be based on the normalized score of PET-2025.
• Main Written Examination: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (Objective Type), 2 Hours duration. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• Physical Standards Test (Qualifying): Male: Height 167.6 cm, Chest 80 cm (unexpanded) / 85 cm (expanded). Female: Height 152 cm (General), 147 cm (SC/ST), Weight 45 kg.
• Physical Efficiency Test (Qualifying): Male: 4.8 km run in 25 minutes. Female: 2.4 km run in 14 minutes.
