Union Public Service Commission has released the release of Combined Medical Services Examination, for which online applications have started from 10 April 2024. Interested candidates can submit their application by visiting the official website and can check the details section given below for its complete details.

Important Information CMS Recruitment :-


Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently released the notification for Combined Medical Services Examination, 2024. Through this examination, a total of 827 vacancies will be filled for the posts of Medical Officers General Duty, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer of Railways, and General Duty Medical Officer Grade II NDMS. The online application process has started from 10th April 2024 and will continue till 30th April 2024. Interested candidates can submit their application by visiting the official website of upsconline.nic.in for the examination to be held on July 14, 2024.


Age Limit CMS Recruitment :-


The calculation of the age of candidates applying for Medical Officer and other positions in UPSC will be based on August 1, 2024, and candidates should not exceed the maximum age limit of 32 years. However, for Medical Officer Grade in the General Duty Medical Officer Sub cadre of the Central Health Services, the upper age limit should not exceed 35 years, and candidates should not have been born before August 2, 1992. Additionally, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Defense Services personnel, and ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation as per specified criteria.


Application Fee CMS Recruitment :-


Candidates applying for Medical Officer and other posts in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be charged application fee. In this, General/OBC/EWS category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 200/-, whereas female candidates of all categories and SC/ST/PH category candidates will not have to pay any application fee. Candidates have to pay the examination fee through Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or E-Challan.


Educational Qualification CMS Recruitment :-


Candidates who are applying for Medical Officer and other posts in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) who have completed M.B.B.S. have passed the examination, they will be eligible for this recruitment. Presently the final M.B.B.S. Candidates trying for the examination can also apply, but their acceptance will be provisional. They have to complete the final M.B.B.S. by the specified deadline. Must submit proof of successfully passing the written and practical portions of the examination, otherwise their acceptance will be cancelled.

Salary UPSC CMS Recruitment :-


Candidates applying for Medical Officer and other posts in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be given the following salary:-


1. According to the pay scale scale-10 for Medical Officer in Central Health Services (CHS), the salary will be Rs 56,100/- to Rs 1,77,500/- per month.


2. For General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Corporation, the candidate will be given pay matrix level-10, from Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/- + Restricted Non-Professional Allowance (NPA).


3. For General Duty Medical Officer Grade II in Municipal Corporation of Delhi, the minimum pay of 1st Cell as per Level – 10 of Pay Matrix under 7th CPC will be Rs. 56,100/- (Rs. 15,600 as per pre-revised scale PB–3). Rs.39,100/- +GP equivalent to Rs.5,400/-) and will be paid along with NPA and other authorized allowances as per rules.

How to apply

    First the candidate has to visit the official website https://upsc.gov.in/. Then the candidate has to go to the official notification of CMSE and click on the apply link.

    Candidates have to open the apply link first. They have to register. If candidates are already registered, they can login. To login they have to enter their email ID, password, and captcha code.

    If candidates are registering for the first time, they have to click on “New Registration”.

    After that, they will enter their complete information, such as name, date of birth, father's name, mother's name, mobile number, email ID, etc.

    Then, after entering their information candidates need to go to “Already Registered” and login with mobile number or email ID from there. After login, they have to enter OTP.

    If all the information is correct, they will be asked to enter the Third Passport Login ID and Password.

    After logging in their ID, candidates have to click on the latest notification.

    After that, the candidate has to click on “Combined Medical Services Examination – 2024”.

    After that, a form will open in front of them, which they will have to look at carefully and click on “Yes” at the bottom.

    A form will open in front of the candidate in which he will have to fill all his information. In this they have to select their name, father's name, date of birth, community, category, address, pin code, and district. Here they also have to enter any additional phone numbers and then click on “Continue”.

    After that, the candidate has to choose his/her identity proof, like PAN Card or Aadhar Card, and then enter his/her identity proof number. After that, the candidate has to enter the captcha code and hit “Submit”.

    After the form is submitted, the candidate has to pay the fee as per his/her category. After payment of fee, the form will be complete and it will be necessary to take a print out of it and keep it safe.

    After form completion, the candidate will again need to visit “Combined Medical Services Examination – 2024” page and upload photo and signature in Part – 2 Registration.

    Photo size – 350 Pixels (Width) x 350 Pixels (Height) minimum, and 1000 Pixels (Width) x 1000 Pixels (Height) minimum, while the file size should be less than 300 kb in digital form and 20 Must be more than kb. The format of the photo should be in JPG.
