Information for UPSC Combined Geo Scientist Recruitment 2024

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the recruitment notification for Geo Scientist posts. In this, vacancies have been declared for a total of 85 posts including Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist. The online application process has started from 4 September 2024 and the last date to apply is 24 September 2024. The Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 9 February 2025, while the main examination will be held on 21 and 22 June 2025. How to apply

  1. Registration and Online Application

    Candidates must complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the official website before applying for the exam. If already registered, one can directly fill the online application form.

  2. Modification of OTR Profile and Application Form

    Candidates can modify their OTR profile only once, within 7 days of closing of the application window. Corrections can also be made in the application form within the same period.

  3. Submit a single application

    Submit only one application. If multiple applications are made, complete the application with the highest Registration ID (RID), as only that will be valid.

  4. Inform if in Government Service

    If candidates are in Government Service, they must inform the head of their department about the application. If permission is not granted, the Commission may reject the application.

  5. No need for hard copy

    There is no need to send hard copy at this stage. However, ensure to fulfil all the eligibility conditions, as the eligibility of the candidate is tentative and subject to verification.

  6. Upload Documents

    Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and photo ID proof in the required format. You can use Testbook Cropping and Resizing Tool to get the right size.
