Important Information IES ISS Recruitment :-


Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for IES/ISS Exam 2024 on its official website. A total of 48 vacancies have been declared in this examination for the posts of Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS). The online application process has started from 10th April 2024 and candidates can apply till 30th April 2024. The examination for these posts will be conducted till 21st June 2024, and candidates can make corrections in their applications from 1st May 2024 to 7th May 2024. If a candidate wants to apply for these posts, he can apply online by visiting the official website. 


Age Limit IES ISS Recruitment :-


The age of the candidates applying for the IES/ISS Examination 2024 to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be calculated as on August 1, 2024. Candidates age should be between minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years. However, relaxation in upper age limit will be given for some special categories like –


If a candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, he/she will be given relaxation of 5 years.

If he belongs to any other backward class and has the right to avail the benefits of reservation, then a relaxation of 3 years will be given.

If a person gets injured in a war zone during a program implemented with any foreign country, he will be given a relaxation of 3 years.

For ex-servicemen who have rendered at least five years of military service and are released under special circumstances, age relaxation of 5 years will be given.


Application Fee IES ISS Recruitment :-


Candidates applying for UPSC IES/ISS exam 2024 will have to pay the application fee. General and OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs.200/-, whereas Women/SC/ST/Specially Handicapped category candidates will not have to pay any application fee. Candidates have to pay their application fee through net banking, credit/debit card, or e-challan by 30 April 2024.

Educational Qualification IES ISS Recruitment :-


Candidates applying for UPSC IES/ISS Exam 2024 must have special category qualification. For Indian Economic Service, a candidate must have a post-graduate degree in any one subject from a recognized university. And for Indian Statistical Service, candidates must have Bachelor's degree or Masters degree in any one of the following subjects from a recognized university.


Selection Process IES ISS Recruitment :-


Candidates who have applied for UPSC IES/ISS Exam 2024 will be called for interview on successful completion of the written examination. For Indian Statistical Service, 2 hours will be given for Statistics-I and Statistics-II, while 3 hours will be given for other subjects. The written examination will carry a total of 1000 marks, with 100 marks each in General English and General Studies and 200 marks each for other subjects. There will be provision of negative marking for wrong answers.

How to apply

    Candidates should first visit the official website https://www.upsconline.nic.in. Then, they have to click on “View all” to reach a new page where information about various recruitments will be there. After that, they have to click on “Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2024”. At last, they have to click on the link of Exam Notice.

    If candidates are already registered, please login. If not, they should go to “New Registration” and complete the registration by entering their information. To login, the candidate has to login by filling the captcha code after entering the email ID and password/OTP.

    To do new registration, the candidate has to fill his/her name, gender, date of birth, father and mother's name, mobile number, email ID, and other related information and submit it by entering the captcha code. After that, the candidate has to verify himself and then enter his personal information and submit.

    The candidate will have to provide information about his/her nationality, marital status, educational qualification and residential address in the application form. In this, the candidate has to enter his/her state, district, pin code, and also other contact numbers, and then click on “Continue”.

    The candidate has to enter the ID and number of his/her photo identity card in the application. This photo identity card should be Aadhar Card/Voter ID Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/issued by State/Central Government. The candidate has to enter the ID and number of any one of these and upload its PDF. After completing the form, the candidate has to pay the application fee, which the candidate can do through online. After payment of fees, the candidate should take a printout of his/her form.

    After form completion, the candidate will again need to visit “Combined Medical Services Examination – 2024” page and upload photo and signature in Part – 2 Registration.

    Photo size – 350 Pixels (Width) x 350 Pixels (Height) minimum, and 1000 Pixels (Width) x 1000 Pixels (Height) minimum, while the file size should be less than 300 kb in digital form and 20 Must be more than kb. The format of the photo should be in JPG.
